KILLED BY LIGHTNING

Harry Halford, a cowman, of Wickhamford, near Evesham, was killed by lightning yesterday afternoon. He was walking across an open field when he was struck. His hair was singed and cap burnt, while his right boot was torn off.

Comments

The Dundee newspaper called him ‘Walford’ but ‘Halford’ is his correct surname. This was also reported in the Exeter and Plymouth Gazette of the same date, with the correct surname.
