EVESHAM MOTHERS’ UNION

The annual summer meeting of the members of the Evesham Deanery Mothers’ Unions took place at Wickhamford yesterday, when upwards of 160 members were present.

Mrs Drysdale welcomed the visitors and tea was given them by the committee of the Wickhamford branch.

After tea a service in St. John’s Church was conducted by the vicar of Badsey and Wickhamford (Canon W.C. Allsebrook, R.D.), and an address was given by the vicar of Bengeworth, Evesham (the Rev. A.H. Lewis).

This picture is of an outing to Bournemouth of Wickhamford ladies in 1934 (the child in the front is Mary Ockwell, b. 1933) and they are probably from the village branch of the Mother’s Union.
