Details of Will

I Mary Harrington of Highgate, Middlesex, spinster, give:

  • To my sisters Elizabeth Harrington and Sarah Harrington all my part and share of the freehold and copyhold estates given by my late father John Harrington as tenants in common and all my part and share of all personal estate, stock, goods, chattels bequeathed by my father
  • Subject to the payment to my brother John Harrington the sum of £100
  • And to Matthew Flynn Esq the sum of £50

Codicil, dated 17th September 1818

  • Whereas since the date and execution of this will, my sister Elizabeth died and my sister Sarah and I, having inherited the third part of the copyhold hereditaments and premises in equal moieties, I give this third part to my sister Sarah.

Witnesses:  George Turner Junior and Eleanor Jones

Appeared personally George Turner the younger of No 63 Dorset Street, Fleet Street, London, smith, saying that he is one of the witnesses to the first codicil to the will of Mary Harrington late of Dorset Street, Fleet Street, London, spinster, deceased, and further made oath that he was well acquainted the Mary Harrington for upwards of ten years last past and knew her handwriting well.
