Alfred Bell Junior claimed as foreman of his father's 10 acres of ground, including 4 acres of asparagus, and "and am put foreman over it". He had not been attested. In reply to Mr Cholmondeley, his father stated he was 45 years of age and had another boy of 16 working on the ground. His son did not attest, although he was 18 last April.
