He had five brothers, three of whom were gardeners, at Badsey. One occupying land near theirs. One who was in the army had been discharged in consequence of injuries.

Decertified by the War Agricultural Committee, and could only appeal on the grounds of domestic hardship. Arthur Richard Hall (29), market gardener, Badsey, was represented by Mr Geoffrey New. He is a married man in partnership with his widowed mother, aged 65. Appellant has not yet been up for medical examination. Lieutenant Dixon said no men off the land Grade 2 were taken, and if Hall was passed Grade 2 he would come back into civil life.
