Badsey & Aldington Trail - Location 26

Sladden Close

Sladden Close is named after Sir Julius Sladden (1847-1928), who lived at Seward House, High Street, Badsey, for nearly 50 years, and who was prominent in village affairs.

Sladden Close is a relatively new housing with most of the houses being built in 2018. At this time the village was commemorating the end of The Great War using the family letters between the members of the Sladden family. It therefore seemed appropriate that this new development should carry their name.
