Events: Talk by Terry Sparrow and display of items at St James’ Church about Badsey at time of King James Bible and talk by Robin Neill “From Trackways to Turnpikes”. Future events: AGM and talk on 10 years of The Badsey Society; trip to Stanway Mill; 2012 Whit Walk; Badsey Flower Show and launch of our market gardening DVD. Report on The Apple Barn at Malvern House which is likely to be demolished. John Haines of Chapel Street asked for information on his ancestors the Jones family who featured in October issue of The Last Market Gardener Newsletter. We found Charles and wife Anne and Florence Margaret March (Charles’ sister) amongst others and an obituary and photograph. Some of the Jones’ lived in America for a while but after both were widowed Charles and Florence (known as Margaret) returned to Badsey and lived at 17 School Lane (named Packard House).
