1935 – Diary belonging to George Henry Stewart

Diary (cover missing) for 1935.  Includes information on inland postal rates, gestation table, table showing equivalent prices of  grain per cwt and per quarter (of 8 bushels), loads of manure in dung heaps, first aid in accidents.  Entries made in pencil for each day, for example:

Sat 6 April – Sharp frost, fine cold winds, started sprout planting at Potter’s (19,000 autumn sown).  Afternoon, football.  Rangers 2 – Lye Town 0.  Final W J Cup.
