Pastoral Reorganisation, 1980

Folder containing paperwork relating to the pastoral reorganisation in 1980.  Previously, the ecclesiastical benefices of Badsey (with Aldington) and the benefice of Wickhamford had been held in plurality.  This was changed in 1980 so that the two benefices became one united benefice known as the Benefice of Badsey with Aldington and Wickhamford.  An Order in Council was presented at the Court of Buckingham Palace on 13th October 1980; the Scheme came into effect on 1st November 1980.
