News article 2003 - Photo mystery is solved

Letters from Miss Margaret Amos and Mrs Rosemary Message in response to an article about Badsey and Aldington in the previous month's Vale Magazine. Margaret Amos was the daughter of a former Headmaster of Badsey School and identified some of the people in the photograph taken in 1912 on the day of an eclipse of the sun. Rosemary Message wrote to say she spotted her mother, Annie Newbury (née Sandford) and other relatives in the picture of King George VI Coronation Party (the text says in Badsey Village Hall, but it was actually in the playground of Badsey School).
