Two days after the sale, the following report appeared in The Evesham Standard of Saturday 10th September 1910:

BADSEY, PROPERTY OFFERED FOR SALE

Mr Frank Waldron of Messrs Dicks & Waldron, Evesham, conducted a property sale at The Wheatsheaf Inn, Badsey, on Thursday evening.  There were about 40 present.  Lot 1 was a freehold villa residence, known as “The Orchards”, situated on the Bretforton Road, Badsey.  The house is of recent erection, and contains four good bedrooms, two sitting with bay windows, kitchen, scullery, garden etc.  The property was withdrawn at £310.

Lot 2 was a freehold semi-detached cottage, situate in Chapel Street, Badsey, and let at £16 9s per annum, the landlord paying rates and taxes.  This was withdrawn at £365.

Lot 3 was a valuable building site adjoining Lot 1, comprising 4,950 square yards, having a frontage to the Bretforton Road of 173 feet.  This was also withdrawn at 1s 2d per square yard.  Under the present unsettling conditions, property investors are evidently not attracted.
