Santa Special in Binyon Close
The announcement of the arrival of the Santa Special in Binyon Close at the end of November marks the beginning of the Christmas season in Badsey. For the past few years, Elizabeth and Ralph Bolland have been welcoming people to their home to view the model railway set up in their back garden. Ralph, a keen model railway enthusiast, has lovingly assembled the railway and model village over the years, and adds a Santa to one of the carriages for the festive season.
But people come, not just to see the railway, but also to find out what the latest offering is from that dynamic duo, the Dallimore brothers. Christmas 2017 saw the première of their latest film, Brief Encounters of the Third Kind Meet the Railway Children. This short movie, written and produced by Will and John Dallimore, stars Ralph and Elizabeth, and also their granddaughter, Ellie Bolland, who won her spot in the film by winning last year's 'Bond Movie' competition.
The three charity evenings were in aid of Friends of Badsey Church.
