Elizabeth was the daughter of William Tipping, who was the first tenant of the Sandys Arms when it opened in 1833. She was baptised in Wickhamford in 1834 and her family moved to Cleeve Prior not long before the 1841 census, and then to Inkberrow. But Elizabeth moved to live with her aunt and uncle, Sarah and John Smithingale, in Hanbury. This photograph was probably taken at the time of her marriage to John Gibbs in 1860.
