Orchard Way, 5 High Street
Present-day address: Orchard Way, 5 High Street, Badsey
A semi-detached cottage dating back to about the 17th century, built on the east side of High Street. The cottage has a postal address of High Street and has High Street numbering being Number 5 but, together with Numbers 7 & 9, the cottages are actually down a path known as Orchard Way to the east of the High Street at the start of The Lankets. At the time of the 1891 census, this path was known as Phipps Alley or John Phipps Alley, because John Phipps, who lived at the present-day 11 High Street, owned one of the cottages.
