This view of School Lane will be remembered by schoolchildren who attended Badsey Primary School in the 50's and 60's. The old buildings on the left have since been demolished to make way for private houses. Their age is not known, however, due to the lower courses of stone, the structure could have originally been wooden barns. The Bell Inn, on the right, has also closed and is now flats. The wooden cladding to the extreme left of the photo belong to a row of three houses which ran along the side of the school playground. The advertising hoardings on the wall above the pick-up van were used to display posters relating to auctions, sales, etc. of an agricultural nature.
