Ernest Leslie SHELLEY 1921

Ernest Leslie Shelley (1910-?) was born at Aston on 22nd May 1910, the elder of two children of Albert Ernest Shelley and his wife, Frances.  Leslie, as he was known, enrolled at Badsey Council School in April 1917 when the family moved from Aston.  He left in July 1924, aged 14.  On 16th April 1938, Leslie married Hilda Doris Haines at St James’ Church, Badsey.  In 1939 they lived at 5 Synehurst Avenue (present-day No 41).
