Military Cross

Cyril Sladden was awarded the Military Cross in 1918. News of the award was published in the Mesopotamian Honours List in The Times on 8th February. The MC was given for previous service, from the taking of Baghdad in March 2017 till the latter part of the summer.

We are grateful to David Sladden (grandson of Cyril) for bringing this medal to the final Sladden letter-reading evening in 2017 and for allowing a photo to be taken.
