I beg to inform you that the Committee of Management have, on the result of the recent examination, awarded to your son a pay boarding foundation scholarship. I have to request that he will attend at the school on Tuesday next the 12th instant at three o’clock to be medically examined. Assuming he passed the Medical Office, he will be required to forthwith take his place in the school and the fee for the current term (£8.6.8) should then be remitted to me. Please in the meantime to fill up and sign and return the enclosed form of undertaking.
I am, Sir, your Obedient Servant
W Sawyer, Clerk
