1963 wedding – Peter Stewart & Julie Stewart

The marriage at Badsey of Peter Stewart to Julie Stewart in 1963. Peter Stewart was born in Plymouth, Devon and met Julie Stewart whilst both were serving at the Royal Air Force Station at South Cerney

Julie was brought up in Badsey and the eldest of the five children of Frederick & Charlotte Stewart, Market Gardeners of Badsey. The bridesmaids include four of the sisters of the bride, and a sister of the groom. Also shown is the best man, Colin Fisher, who was also serving in the Royal Air Force. After the honeymoon Peter and Julie were posted to Singapore, where their son Stephen was born. They returned to Evesham in 1975, when Peter took on the position of a Manager in Woolworths, but first worked, on retirement from the Royal Air Force, at Birdland in Bourton on the Water, where he was able to study birds in captivity and their diets, with Julie being the Chef.
