Shown here are Charles Edwin Stewart (1906-1971) and Hilda Florence Mustoe (1909-2005) who were married in Badsey Church on the 6th October 1931.
Charles was one of twelve children of Frederick Cockerton Stewart (1873-1920) and Ellen Elizabeth Westmacott (1876), seated left of the Groom, who were married in the Baptist Chapel Evesham on the 18th April 1895. Hilda Florence was one of eight children of Ernest Edward (1877-1935) and Fanny Mustoe (née Stanley) who were married in Evesham in 1906.
Standing on the far right is a brother of the bride, Ernest Leslie 'Buster' Mustoe (1913-2000), former licensee of The Royal Oak, Badsey (later renamed The Round of Gras), and where Asparagus dinners were a much anticipated annual event. The elderly gentleman seated left is William Mustoe (1842-1944), who was at one time Badsey's oldest resident. He originated from Sapperton, Gloucestershire and married Lucy Lane (1847-1917) at Leckhampton, Gloucestershire on the 19th October 1917. Also shown is the familiar figure of Canon William Carmont Allsebrook (1868-1947), who officiated at the wedding.
