Present-day address: Montpelier, 40 High Street, Badsey
A detached house with name plaque built in 1911 on the site of an old cottage (Goulds' Cottage) which had been demolished in the mid 19th century. Thomas Knight bought the house and opened a shop in the front room; for many years, Fred Salter ran it as a shop. By 1968, the shop had been turned into a hairdressing salon, named Susanne, Hair Stylist. It remained a hairdresser’s until the mid 1990s. The house then became completely residential.
