Fanny Knight and family

This photo, taken outside the Silk Mill Cottages in 1930, shows Mrs Fanny Elizabeth Knight (née Bennett) with her daughters Jean Muriel (1920-1997) and Gwendoline Vera (1908-1998) and her daughter-in-law, Mrs Daisy Grace Knight (1907-1991).  Daisy (née Spiers) had married Reginald Edwin Knight (Fanny’s only son) on 7th December 1929 at Bengeworth.  Fanny’s husband, Thomas, died in Powick Hospital in July 1920.

The photo is taken outside the present-day No 6 Silk Mill Cottages which, until his death in February 1929, had been the home of Fanny’s father-in-law, Edwin Knight.
