Badsey – Culvert at footpath by Green Leys

Grid reference 072434. Culvert carrying a small brook draining Badsey Field under the footpath from Hither Green to Old Post Office Lane, adjacent to Green Leys. The brook runs at the bottom of the gardens of the houses on the south side of Green Leys and flows from the garden of 37 Green Leys under the footpath. Until the houses were built, there was a 7-8 foot drop on the west side, which older residents remember as a hairy experience if coming down that way on a bike, but it was filled in when Green Leys was built.
