Saturday 5 December 1885 - Decimus Agg and Walter Butler of the Grenadier Guards summoned for assault

AN UNSUSTAINED CHARGE. – Walter Butler, Vine-street, and Decimus Agg, Wickhamford, both of whom are privates in the Grenadier Guards, were summoned by Thos. Callow, landlord of the Old Angel Inn, Bengeworth, for wilfully breaking a window, and also assaulting him on the 21^st November.

[The men had accidentally broken a window, paid for the damage and forced their way out when Callow tried to prevent them leaving. The Bench decided the case should be dismissed.]
