BADSEY MAN KILLED

Mrs Huxley, of Badsey, has received official information that her son, Lance-Corporal A Huxley, of the Worcesters, was killed instantaneously by a shell in the front line trenches on November 21. He was highly esteemed by officers and men, and was regarded as an excellent NCO and a very plucky man. He was 22 years of age and single. He joined the army in December 1914, and previously worked for Mr John Mason, of Wickhamford. He went out to France some eighteen months ago, and was wounded last August. He was home on sick leave as a result of his wound in September, but returned to France at the end of the month. We shall give a portrait of this deceased soldier next week.
