Saturday 7 April 1945 – Death of Walter Henry Green

DEATH OF MR W H GREEN
The death occurred in Evesham Hospital on Saturday of a popular and well-known Badsey resident in Mr Walter “Harry” Green of Church View, Badsey.  He was 58.  Mr Green had been in failing health for a number of years.  Born in Tewkesbury, deceased came to live in Badsey some 38 years ago, and was married in Badsey Church in 1911 to Miss Florence Keen, daughter of Mr & Mrs John Keen, a well-known Badsey family.  He was employed by Messrs Brewers & Son of Badsey for 36 years as a master baker, and was a member of Badsey Church Choir for some 27 years.  The funeral service, on Wednesday at Badsey Parish Church, was conducted by the Rev Stickings of Bretforton.
