KING'S BROMLEY. The Late Miss Appelbee
Miss Helen Appelbee, of King's Bromley, elder daughter of the late Thomas Appelbee, of Evesham, who died on November 17th, was buried next the family vault at Badsey, near Evesham, on November 20th. Amongst those present at the funeral were Mr and Mrs Neville Appelbee, Mr and Mrs Arthur Appelbee, Miss Alice Appelbee, the Misses Mary and Joan Appelbee, Mr Edward Gibbs, Miss Amy Gibbs (relatives); and also Major and Mrs Thompson, Mrs. Bedford (of King's Bromley), Miss Wood and Miss Smith (of Lichfield), and Sister Mortimor (of Southsea). The many floral tributes of the respect in which she was universally held included wreaths from the Lichfield Conservative and Unionist Association and also the Kings Bromley branch of the interested in the Conservative cause, and for many years was Hon Secretary of the Women's Unionist Association in King's Bromley, later becoming Vice Chairman.
