My Dearest Wife,
I was somewhat reluctant to send telegram postponing your coming to-day as I felt sure you would be disappointed, however I am glad I did so as you would not have been comfortable with baby at Badsey. To-morrow you will of course come by 12.10 train, perhaps you may as well take Edith with you first-class in case baby is a trouble to you alone, he of course goes free, I shall have a fly in readiness for you at Evesham station, I will drop a line to C. Norton station master to ask him to have a foot warmer ready for you, get the guard to shift it into the Worcester train for you, there is a snug little waiting room for ladies opening out of the booking office, ask if there is a fire in it & if so cross over as it will be best to be on the side for getting in, otherwise there is sure to be a good fire in the room on the arrival platform, be very careful to wrap up well to avoid cold, baby I know will be well cared for. We are getting on so well at the house, the first van is unpacked and the things inside all safe, by the time you get down I hope things will be getting straight. And now good night for I am busy I am so glad you are really coming to-morrow. Kiss little Jack and
Believe me ever
Your loving husband
