My Dearest Wife,
I hope to hear to-morrow that you arrived comfortably at Richmond; to-day the mop is going on and the noise is something worrying, I wish I were away shooting as the day is fine but I think I must defer going till to-morrow as it is getting late in the day and there are several things I want to do. The chicks are very well and very jolly, Jack came in as usual this morning he seemed rather surprised to find “Mamma all gone” but he was very good, baby kissed me when I went to the nursery, they were just going out when I left, they were sound asleep last night at 10 o’clock, both on their faces! I wrote last night to Ash & Glasgow the latter address is:
48 Hunter Terrace
Claremont St.
Give my love to them at Richmond and with much love from myself and kisses from little Jack & May. I am as ever
Your affectionate Husband
