Sunday Morning

My Dearest Wife,

I will write a few lines before going to church with Jack, so that if the men come down with letters they can take this up to post.  The children all seem quite happy they all came to breakfast this morning.  Kitty sitting perfectly good during prayers.  I hope you got your boxes all right, it was a great scramble, you see what it is when I am not on the spot to hurry you up!  Yesterday afternoon I had a good turn at the roses up at Jones’, they certainly look well and should I think come in for the London shows if the weather keeps good.  How are all our Chipping Norton friends, give my kind regards to Mrs Burrows. Jack was very anxious to know when I woke this morning if you would then be getting up and later he opined you were about arrived at the operation of cleaning your teeth!  Now I must close and get ready for church, kiss baby for me, I hope she is good.  The chicks send kisses to Mamma.

With best love believe me ever
Your affectionate Husband

Julius Sladden
