Evesham

My Dearest Wife,
I have just returned from Evesham having seen George off with his numerous packages, we were able to find him a good basket of vegetables and I think he has gone off all the better for his changes, Lizzie will travel from Burton on Saturday night.
We had a pleasant day’s shooting yesterday with Mr Webb and to-day quite nice little sport for a few hours over Byrds and Gilberts then at 3 o’clock we came in to dinner as George did not want to have a tiring day. Mother is decidedly better and I hope will gain strength now.
We have got the drying apparatus put up in the kitchen and I should think it will be a good convenience in wet weather, I have also told Mace to make the ironing boards. I think you may manage to stay till Tuesday 25thish but you had better arrange to return not later than that day and as I think it very likely. Mother will start on 26th she will have to travel on a day that suits me, because in addition to other business I shall have some travelling to do in Mr Frisk’s absence, he is going for a fortnight and to fetch his wife back or I should have suggested that he went later. I think perhaps a little port wine will do May good I hope she will be the better for the change. The children are very good and very happy, Baby seems quite well again. Jack sends, at his own suggestion, 8 kisses to you 8 to May & 4 to Auntie Fanny. Charlotte gets on very well with the servants and is “cumbered about many things.” Hope you have had a nice drive to Sandwich. Charlotte joins me in love to Fanny and all the circle and with much to yourself believe me ever
Your affectionate Husband
