Thursday morn
May 30

My Dearest Wife,

I have just got your letter, written from Bourg, and have only a minute or two to put a line in with Kathleen’s letter before starting for Pandy.

I could not get down to dinner yesterday so Miss P. managed to spoil partially the children’s afternoon at the Gepps by keeping George till 3.30 and insisting upon the others coming back at 5.45.

I shall be at home Monday and mean George to have a whole holiday, as Arthur does, and the girls a half.

Mary wrote to May a good account of Cyril and the little man dictated a letter himself.

When are you re-crossing?

I have been busy lately up early nearly every morning and felt too tired to write last night.

Your loving Husband

Julius Sladden
