My Dear Wife,
I think I will try and write you a few lines from the office while I can spare a few minutes.
Cyril was very pleased to have your letter (the only one brought to the house) this morning.
Kathleen’s roses ought to arrive at Windsor at 11.45 probably you may have met her before then.
We are getting along pretty well still but shall be very glad to get you home again, dear.
I sent you 30/- yesterday as I thought you might want to cash the orders before you went to Windsor.
Jack had some tennis at Mrs Hope's for I made him take his racket, he will go with me to the Savorys this afternoon, they tell me they expect nearly 80, we have lent them some cups & spoons. I dined there last night and to-morrow we all three go to the picnic, place not yet fixed, perhaps Meon Hill.
I shall be going to Alcester on Tuesday but may probably get back from there by 2.50 train, in the evening I have a Parish Council meeting at 8 o’clock, as to trains you had better fix as may best suit your convenience travelling with Baby. I enclose alternative trains & routes, if you came from Oxford to Badsey, instead of Evesham, by slow train you might get a little time at Oxford if you wished, however use your own discretion only let me know what you decide upon.
I am glad Juliet looks so well give the little mite a kiss for me. I hope you too are all the better for a little change and rest. What had Charlotte to say for herself, had they had good weather to finish up with.
Give my love to all at Richmond. I must close now.
