My Dearest Wife,
I really must write you a few lines.
I am very pleased with George’s place in his form and will return his and Arthur’s letter in this, also one from George which you may like to see and which I must answer next Sunday.
I found all friends pretty well yesterday but Aunt Susan is aged considerably. This morning John & I went to Sandling Junction by train and walked from there to Hythe meaning to tram back from there, however we were not tired so walked all the way home, we must have gone eight miles or more.
Please keep the Standard paper’s containing from to-day, the Archbishop’s change, I like that part in to-day’s paper (Wednesday) very much, I am glad dear little baby is better, kiss her for me.
I think you may expect me not later than 7.23 train on Friday, John and I are going to the theatre presently.
Much love to you, dear, and all
Your affectionate Husband
Julius Sladden
