My Dear Kathleen,
I think the theatricals may be fixed for Apr 13 instead of the previous day as the Education Department has fixed upon the 12th for our School Board election and, as there will probably be a contest, that day would not do at all I am afraid Georgie will be out of it in any case for he tells me his holidays only begin on 14th.
Jack has arranged to leave the Bank next Saturday, as they had some one anxious for the vacancy, he may probably stay a few days at Folkestone before coming home. I hope he may get an appointment soon but it will be nice if you can see something of him during the holidays, there is now another Second Division exam announced, for April 25th, probably the result of that will not be known before Midsummer, however Jack and those called up now with him will have priority over the then successful candidates, however they will I expect mostly get appointments before then.
I have been up to another rehearsal of the plays this afternoon at the Wildings, they will want a lot of working up yet.
Auntie Lottie has been quite on the sick list, evidently run down altogether, she is better but the doctor says she must take things easily for a bit – that may be more easily said than done!
Ethel keeps up her place well, she has set her ambition high on top place if she can attain it “it would be grand”.
It has been foggy with us in the early morning of late, but bright and warm during the middle of the day, the roads are very dusty but otherwise good for cycling, I have used my machine a good deal the last few weeks.
There is to be a confirmation at Brecon next term, so then Arthur can be a candidate, he tells us they have rather taken up hockey at his school recently.
I hope you will win your Salthill match on Saturday.
I must now see if I can find any newspaper cuttings to interest you.
