My dearest Wife,
I received your note and the boys’ letters which latter have gone on to Badsey together with Kathleen’s and Arthur’s. I will post this to-night to Richmond as I rather conclude you will be leaving for Egham to-morrow.
We have had rain here this afternoon, otherwise I have been very fortunate in my weather.
Charlotte Hayward has been here to-day, she sends her love to you. To-morrow I expect Frank for the day. Norah seems very well for her.
I am writing this in Grannie’s room and she sends her love to you, she has no recollection of your visit here. John and Charlotte do not intend to return so soon as June 30th if all goes well, but I think it is to that time Anna is asked to keep house, afterwards both servants will have taken their holiday.
I have had a pleasant little change down here but shall be very glad to join you, dear, again on Saturday, I am not sure what time I may start from here, probably in the morning, anyway I shall aim to reach Weybridge in good time for dinner. I have written to Arthur and George from here and to the girls at home.
