My dear little Daughter,
I must write a few lines for you to receive on your Confirmation day which I feel sure will be a very notable and happy event in your life and the presence of your dear Mother and of your sisters at the ceremony will make it all the happier, Father although not present will think of his little Juliet on Wednesday evening.
Ethel started off to-day and reached Richmond I hope long ago, I expect she found Mother already arrived. May thinks of taking the 12.25 train after all, as it will be less of a rush, so you may look out for her soon after four o’clock.
I was glad to find your letter awaiting me on my return home this afternoon also one each from Mother and George. I posted to the former this evening for her birthday, I am going to give her a clock for her bedroom, I am afraid it is not such a nice one as that I had stored away so long and when nobody seemed to want such a thing as a clock!
It has been cold here too but milder to-day.
The new little calf is flourishing it will have to be sold but perhaps not before you come home.
Brailsford has got into his new house at last, he has had rather a cold lately.
Arthur and Cyril both went down to see Mother during her stay at Addlestone and both thought her looking well.
Now I must say good night and that God may bless you my dear Child now and in the years to come is the fond wish of your loving Father
