My dear Julius,
I was so sorry to have to disappoint you all yesterday & not go home as I had intended; my head is better today but I feel weak, & the doctor, who saw me this morning, thinks it better that I should not go back till Saturday, so I hope to get back by the 4.45 from Paddington.
It really is too bad of Mr Collier to run away again, he had a good holiday not long ago & he might stop & do his fair share of the work.
I will write a line to one of the girls so that they may know when to expect me.
With much love dear, hoping I may not again be prevented from coming home.
I remain
Your loving wife
Eugénie N Sladden
