My dearest Husband,
We are very glad that you could give a rather better account of George both yesterday & today, & hope that the improvement will continue; I hope Lizzie is keeping up well, she must have an anxious time of it.
We have had two nice bright days after some very dreary dark ones; there was a slight frost last night & it looks like another tonight.
Alice is a little better, but looks rather bad still, it is such a job to make the girl eat anything & she does not sleep well. We have been very busy today, & shall be very glad when Alice can manage her work again.
Brailsford went to the meeting on Thursday & enjoyed the speeches very much, there were a good lot of people there; I paid him his wages tonight. I think Betty is feeling a little slack & tired after all her excitement, she will be glad to get you home again.
Give my love to Cyril when you see him on Monday, I think Juliet is rather proud of having been first to see his college rooms.
