My dear Ethel
Please excuse half a sheet I have no time for more today, many thanks for your very interesting birthday letter. I was so pleased to hear all about Juliet, give her a kiss from me.
I was very much surprised to hear that Sister Kezia has left. I hope she has not turned R.C. it looks rather suspicious when they don’t know where she has gone.
I am glad that someone has heard from Miss White, I have had no news of her since I was at Windsor. Emily told me they were going to have two dances. I am glad you like the Ashwins, Hildegarde will be a nice companion for you if you get on well together.
How do the singing classes go?
You seem to be very busy from your letters. I expect you are looking forward to getting Kathleen home again.
How did you like the Literary? was it the first you have been to?
I hope Juliet will say her little speech to Mother very nicely tomorrow, I did not know she still called her “little Lolly”.
I am enclosing a letter to Jack which will you please send on in the usual way. I have not yet answered all my birthday letters. What are we giving Mother?
I must stop or I shall be so late for Church.
With much love to you all
from your loving sister
