Dear Ethel
Thank you and the rest of the family for sending me the group which we think is excellent. You have all come out so clear, it must be difficult in a large group to get all good, but this is very.
I hope your Father found that George was going on satisfactorily, he said I should have a card telling me about him. I hope Cyril will not develop the malady.
It is nice for you to have a little change just now. I expect Badsey is not very gay. Your father tells us May has a very good post, I am so glad. Marian seems so very happy at Clifton; she has to teach botany this term to some of the girls. She did not quite relish that at first, but I am sure she will not mind when she gets thoroughly into it, as she was always interested in it. Aunt George was quite poorly yesterday but would go over to see Aunt Susan in the afternoon, driving all the way, the doctor told her she must not venture to church today. She has a cold as well as her nerves being quite unstrung. We had a few lines from Miss Day who said Aunt would remain in bed today, it is rest she so much requires.
The weather is horrid today, a Scotch mist all the time, your uncles have nevertheless walked to Ash and will have tea at Aunt Susan’s. Uncle George returns to Glasgow tomorrow.
With love in which Norah joins
I am
Your affectionate Aunt
Edith Sladden
I am pleased to say Tom has employment at last, I suppose he has been at work about a month now.
