My dear Eugénie,
Will you please use the enclosed £2 as you think best for the children for Christmas.
We are getting on well here. Ethel & Archie are progressing with their studies and with music. Hubert leaves Sandhurst on Saturday and will join us here; he will probably be at home three or four months before he gets his commission.
We do not know yet when we return to Brussels, our house is let till the end of February. If my tenants wish to remain till the summer holidays, we may agree as it would suit well enough for the schools.
Gus is in Alexandria, his wife has gone to her people, he could not stay any longer in Paris. I hope he may find something to do, but he must not be particular.
I hope you are keeping well & that things are improving with you.
Much love from Florence & myself. All good wishes for the New Year
Yr. Affect. Brother
