Private Herbert Warman (1869-1944) was in the Worcestershire Regt (No 9723) and Labour Corps (No 636477), joining up on 7th November 1914 and serving throughout the conflict until he was finally discharged on 23rd March 1919. The War Office casualty list of 14th August 1917 reported that he had been wounded on the 10th of that month.
In 1911 he was a labourer on Whitfurrows Farm, Pitchers Hill, a married man with four daughters and three sons. Herbert was around 45 years of age at enlistment and about 50 on discharge.
