Details of Will

I, John Ankers of Badsey, retired Farmer, give:   

  • To my wife, Frances Ankers, £250 together with any loans advanced by me which may be repaid to my Executors, and my houshold furniture and effects for her own absolute use and the cottages owned by me at Badsey and Fernhill Heath, so long as she remains my widow, the said cottages to pass at ther death to my daughter, Katharine Watkins of Cadey Croft, Pershore, for her own absolute use.  I appoint the Public Trustee to administer the trust thus created.
  • To my daughter, Katharine Watkins, the £1000 worth of Wolverhampton Corporation Stock.
  • To my son, Thomas Ankers, £1000 worth of Warwick City Housing Bonds.
  • To my granddaughter, Annie Ankers, the remaining £2000 worth of Warwick City Housing Bonds, to receive only the interest on the investment until reaching 21.
  • To Frederick Sherwood of Bishampton, £25, conditional on being present at my funeral or producing a medical certificate of inability to attend but the said beneficiary is not to be previously apprised of this condition.
  • To John Ross of Bishampton, £25, conditional on being present at my funeral or producing a medical certificate of inability to attend but the said beneficiary is not to be previously apprised of this condition.
  • To each of my Executors, £10.
  • To my wife Frances, my son Thomas, my daughter Katharine and my granddaughter Annie, the residue of my estate.

Codicil:  I revoke the gift to my son Thomas of £100 of Warwick City Housing Bonds and give him £500 worth of ? and to
