The residue of personal estate to be invested in Government stocks or real copyhold or leasehold securities with the income to her sister Sarah for her life and after her death to her brother Thomas; after his death, £2,000 to go to each of the two daughters of Thomas and £1,000 to his son Thomas.  The remainder to be divided among all the children of her brother Thomas (no record of how much this remainder was, but Henry Byrd, the youngest son of Thomas, expected to receive something as it is mentioned in the mortgage of Long Close dated 9th October 1866).
