Decertified by the War Agricultural Committee, and could only appeal on the grounds of domestic hardship. Walter Henry Dore (29), market gardener, Badsey, a Grade A man, who works 5½ acres of land, and who manages his father’s 15½ acres of land, was represented by Mr Geoffrey New. He said his father was unable to work his land owing to ill-health, and it would be a serious loss to both his father and his family if he went. He was the mainstay of the home.
