He is a married man with two children, and his mother, who has been a widow for 20 years, is partly dependent on him. He said he also worked 1½ acres of land at Netherfield under the County Council. In reply to Mr Cholmondeley, he said he had worked for Messrs Espley & Co Ltd for the past 14 years. He had said nothing to them about appealing, neither had they spoken to him about it.
