A FINE RECORD
Mr & Mrs W Cox, of Pitcher’s Hill, Wickhamford, have received official intimation that their youngest son, Bombadier Frank Cox, of the RFA, has succumbed to sunstroke. Before the war he was boots at the Rose and Crown Hotel, Evesham; he enlisted last Christmas twelve months. He died on July 13; had he lived till last Monday he would have been eighteen years of age. Mr & Mrs Cox have five other sons serving – a record of which they may justly be proud. They are Private Charles Cox, of the Canadian Expeditionary Force; Sergeant J T Cox, of the Welsh Regiment; Private G Cox, of the Overseas Mounted Rifles; Corporal H Cox of the Worcesters; and Gunner A Cox, of the RFA. The latter threee are serving abroad. The only other son of the family is about fifteen years old, but he is very anxious to join the army.
