In February 2018, Tom Locke and Val Harman visited Mrs Joan Broscomb (née Galloway) who, as a young lady, joined in the Women's Land Army and was based at Wickhamford Manor during the Second World War. She had got in touch to say that she was the photographer of the photo which appeared in the article, Land Girls at Wickhamford Manor (we have since been pleased to be able to credit Joan with the photo). Joan said that she had an album full of Land Army pictures so, armed with a camera, Tom and Val went to visit Joan at her home. Here are a selection of photos from Joan’s album.
