Newspaper article about Alec Ambrose of Badsey who became the second person in his family in three generations to celebrate his 100th birthday, following in the footsteps of his grandmother, Anne Martin. Alec was born in London and worked for the Post Office, then the Ministry of Supply and the Civil Service. He married his childhood sweetheart, Hilda, and had two children, Alan and Wendy. He lived in London until he was 87 and then moved to Badsey to be nearer his daughter and family. He celebrated his birthday with a party at The Wheatsheaf.
